2022 Industry Days

In 2022, two Industry Days were held to facilitate public-private partnerships for IFE.  Private industry companies submitted a response to a Request for Information (RFI) to assess private industry interest in accessing fusion-relevant capabilities, expertise and intellectual property available within the Virtual Collaboratory of DOE-funded institutions.  These public-private partnerships could be fully private sector funded, fully public sector funded through traditional government R&D programs, or jointly funded through a combination of public and private sector funds. The intent of the RFI was to solicit private sector responses communicate to the IFE Virtual Collaboratory an overview of capabilities and projects of interest to begin discussions on potential work packages and statement of works (SOWs) for possible Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs).

You can review the capabilities and projects of interest for PPP from the Collaboratory here.

Talks from the first Industry Day (Oct 27, 2022) are on the "Industry Day 1" link.  The second industry day (Nov 10, 2022) was hosted at LLNL in person, and was by invitation based on RFI response and subsequent discussions. Slides from the hub discussions are on the "Industry Day 2" link.
